3-Step Application

Step 1: Review Requirements

Before submitting your application, please ensure you meet the following requirements. Review the list below to confirm your qualifications and readiness for the instructor role.

  • Valid seafarer’s license or certification (e.g., STCW, Chief Mate, Master Mariner, Marine Engineer)
  • Minimum of 3–5 years relevant maritime industry experience
  • Previous teaching or crew training experience (preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Familiarity with IMO standards and STCW regulations
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Updated resume or CV detailing maritime experience and qualifications
  • Additional professional certifications (optional but advantageous), such as:
    • IMO Model Course 6.09 – Training Course for Instructors
    • IMO Model Course 3.12 – Assessment, Examination, and Certification of Seafarers
  • Strong commitment to safety, ethics, and professional conduct
  • Willingness to participate as a part-time or full-time instructor based on program needs

  • Experience & Qualifications: A brief overview of your relevant work experience.
  • Documents: Upload your current CV/resume along with any certifications.
  • Motivation: A brief explanation of why you’re interested in becoming an instructor.

Step 3: Waiting for Approval
